Movie Day

Movie 1: JP, 11.30am.

Da Vinci's code

So Dark The Con of Man

Yes Yes Yes. I've WATCHED it, after a last min offer, booking online, blah blah.

Verdict: Not that fantastic. Blame it on the stupid media with all the hype that only raises expectations but fail to live up to it.

Silas is definitely UNCONVINCING. He's not outraged enuff like in the books, and he does not portray the evilness and commitment to his beliefs as strongly. The bleached hair and pale skin only gives him a slight resemblance to Eminem, not an albino. Albino's skin is totally white, perhaps a bit of red veins, and not light yellowish. Where's the red eyes oso?

There isnt much focus on Leonardo's involvement in the Priory of Sion as well, and Tom Hank's hair looks more like a wig.

Its a 149min show, 2 hrs and 40 min going by GV's screen times, and it only made me stop short of falling asleep. The book is still better, the movie's too summarized, too safe.

Movie 2: The Cathay, 6th floor, 5.25pm

M:i:III

Funny its still a sold-out screening after so long, or maybe its the only theater (new oso) in the central screening at such convenient time. Others r either at 3pm, or at 9pm.

Tom Cruise, as Tom Cruise, is still Tom Cruise. So yandao~ Even thou he's rather old already. But he seems eccentric when he's agitated.

And ya, for RR, the cute guy in Hunt's squad IS the Jonathan Rhys Meyers, he was in Alexander and Vanity Fair. And Maggie Q is a Hawaiian, which is y her ang moh so good lah, american father, vietnamese mother.

I love the advanced tech and the resourcefulness of the agents. SO many gadgets~ hehhhehe..

Cathay Tickets

GV tickets r darn expensive, for the uncomfortable chairs, and tight legspace, and the bobbing heads of the patrons in front. Its $20.20 or something ard that range, for 2 weekend tickets, compared to The Cathay, with its addictive seats, sold out show, wide legspace and wide handrest going for $19.50. + the original tickets - the waiting time to que for the booked tickets. Cathay for me anyday!
